If you have a dial-up Internet access
account (home or business) with EV1, your account will be transferred to PeoplePC
Online around November 12, 2006.
Any non-dial-up accounts you have
with EV1 (such as Web Hosting) will not be transferred to PeoplePC Online.

When
will the transition take place?
We expect the transition to take
place around November 12, 2006, at which time PeoplePC Online will mail you a Welcome
Kit with everything you need to start using their service. To avoid any delays in
receiving your PeoplePC Online Welcome Kit, please make sure we have your current
mailing address on file before October 30, 2006. If you need to verify or
update your address, please go to
https://members.ev1.net/ev1Members/english/login.asp (your EV1 Member Services
page). You can also email us at support@ev1.net

Will
there be any interruption in my service?
Your access to the Internet and to your email via EV1 will continue through December 4, 2006, so you will not experience any interruption in your dial-up service. Special arrangements have been made so that you will continue to receive your EV1 email. Around November 12, 2006, new email messages sent to up to 10 of your EV1 email addresses will be forwarded to your corresponding PeoplePC Online email addresses (up to 10)*, so you’ll never miss an email!
To ensure a smooth transition, simply install the PeoplePC Online Internet Connection software as soon as you receive your Welcome Kit. You should receive your Welcome Kit in the mail by November 18, 2006.
If your Welcome Kit does not arrive by November 18, 2006, please call PeoplePC toll-free at 800-862-3457. If you require immediate assistance, you may contact EV1 at 713-341-7873 or toll–free at 877-682-7873 or email us at support@ev1.net.

personal web space at PeoplePC Online?
Yes. PeoplePC Online gives you access
to Sitebuilder, a web-based application that allows you to create your own web sites.
It provides you with all the tools you need to build your site from start to finish,
without having to download any software or know HTML.

I have to do anything to establish my account with PeoplePC Online?
We’ll automatically transfer your
account to PeoplePC Online around November 12, 2006. Once your account is transferred
to PeoplePC Online, they will send you a Welcome Kit with their Internet Connection
software. Installation is easy and will provide you with access to the Internet
via PeoplePC in minutes.

How
can I start using my PeoplePC Online account?
The easiest way to start using your
PeoplePC Online account is to install PeoplePC Online's Internet Connection software,
which will arrive with your Welcome Kit sometime after November 12th. The installation disc will configure your
computer to connect to the Internet via PeoplePC. Also included in this Welcome
Kit will be your PeoplePC Online email address(es) and password(s).
To avoid any delays in receiving
your PeoplePC Online Welcome Kit, please make sure we have your current mailing

Will
PeoplePC Online’s software work on my computer?
PeoplePC Online’s software is compatible
with all Windows operating systems except for Macintosh® (“Mac”) or Microsoft®
NT (“Windows NT”) operating systems. Please see the following table for specific
requirements.
If you use a Mac or Windows NT,
don't worry, you can still get online! We have established a special promotional
offer with EarthLink for Mac and Windows NT users. To sign up for this special offer,
just follow these instructions:
- Visit
http://www.earthlink.net/partners/ev1 to take advantage of this special offer.
Once you sign up on this site, EarthLink will mail you a Welcome Kit (please allow
seven to ten days for delivery). You can continue to access the Internet and your
email via EV1 through December 4, 2006.
- Immediately
contact EV1 at 713-341-7873 or toll–free at 877-682-7873 to inform us that you do
not want your account transferred to PeoplePC. This will prevent you from being
billed by PeoplePC Online.

Can
more than one person connect to my primary dial-up account at the same time?
Concurrent usage is not allowed,
however, you may allow other members of your immediate household to use your Member
Name and Password to access your PeoplePC Online, as long as you’re not using the
service at the same time.

Will
my email address change?
PeoplePC Online will make every effort to provide you with email addresses similar to what you had with EV1. Your new email addresses will end with “@peoplepc.com”.
Special arrangements have been made so that you will continue to receive your EV1 email. Around November 12, 2006, new email messages sent to up to 10 of your EV1 email addresses will be forwarded to your corresponding PeoplePC Online email addresses (up to 10)*, so you’ll never miss a new email! Further information about your PeoplePC email addresses will be included in your PeoplePC Welcome Kit.

Do
I have to use the email address that PeoplePC Online assigns me?
The primary Member Name and email
address that PeoplePC Online assigns cannot be changed; however, with your PeoplePC
Online service you can have up to ten (10) email addresses.
Setting up your additional email
boxes is easy. Once you have installed your PeoplePC Internet Connection software
and have connected to the Internet, go to the "My Account” link from your PeoplePC
Home Page. If your PeoplePC Home Page doesn’t automatically appear once you’ve
connected to the Internet, go to http://home.peoplepc.com/.
Select the “Email Settings”
link under “Communication Settings” and click on “Add Email Address”.

After the transition, will I miss any email sent to my current email address?
Beginning around November 12, 2006,
new email messages sent to up to 10 of your EV1 email addresses will be forwarded
automatically to your corresponding PeoplePC email addresses. You will have
up to 10 email addresses with your new PeoplePC account. After December 4,
2006, you will no longer be able to access the Internet or check email through your
EV1 service. Further information about your new PeoplePC email addresses will
be included in your PeoplePC Welcome Kit.

if I have multiple email addresses with EV1?
You will be able to receive new
email messages from up to 10 of your EV1 email addresses at your new corresponding
PeoplePC Online email addresses. Beginning around November 12, 2006, new email messages
sent to up to 10 of your EV1 email addresses will be forwarded to your corresponding
PeoplePC Online email addresses (up to 10), so you’ll never miss a new email!
